Tree Peonies

Tree peonies are very long lived woody shrubs that grow to about 1m tall and wide. prefering a partially sunny location. Growing from long fibrous roots and woody stems the branches are persistant and should not be cut down in the autumn. The flower buds and new growth appear from these stems in the spring with flowers that are very large and striking. Tree peonies typically require no staking.

PLANTS WILL BE SUPPLIED AS GRAFTED STEMS ONTO ROOT STOCKS , APPROXIMATE HEIGHT 30 cm.

These beautiful upright shrubs have spectacular large bowl shaped blooms up to 15-20cm across on strong stems in late spring/early summer. The glossy deeply cut foliage is dark green with blue green undersides.
