Rhizomes/tubers will be sent bare root with some leaves already showing. They should be planted out immediately following the enclosed instructions. DO NOT LEAVE THEM WRAPPED OR UNPLANTED FOR TOO LONG AS THIS COULD SIGNIFICANTLY DAMAGE THE RHIZOME.
On planting they will briefly stop growing but should then make some excellent new roots and start growth.
PLEASE NOTE- some varieties have naturally smaller rhizomes than others particularly the shorter growing varieties.
For a size indication the rhizomes/tubers that we will supply would typically fit into a 1 or 2 litre pot and will be roughly 2 to 3 inches long
Plants sent will be ex 9cm pots as rooted divisions from our stock plants.
Most root stocks will have one or two growing points.
As above for iris sibirica.
Peony
Will be sent bare root from OCTOBER 2011 as minmium 3-5 eye root stocks.
