Tubers should be planted with the 'eyes' or growing tips at the soil level to achieve the best result. They don’t seem to be too fussy about soil type so long as the tubers don't remain water logged for too long. A bit of organic feed or mulch is VERY beneficial and can encourage a non- blooming plant to put on some colour.
ALL plants supplied by us WILL BE TRUE TO FORM and will be strong vigorous root stocks with a MINIMIUM of three 'eyes' ready for immediate planting out. The autumn-winter period is the best time to plant peonies as the tubers are completely dormant.
